Find
Identify features on the map
If you want to know about a feature on the map, you
can get more information about it.
To identify a feature
- In the Toolbar,
click the Identify button.

The button changes to a pressed appearance

- Click on the feature you want to identify. An identify
icon
will be placed on the map at the location clicked.
After a few
moments, an entry for the Location should appear in
the Identify Results floating
panel.
The Location will
display the coordinates of the location clicked.
- Click the feature in the left panel to display the feature values on the right
Use the Find Features options in the drop down list to determine
which features are included in the results.
- The Top Most Layer option identifies only the top layer at the
loaction selected. If multiple map services are included in the map display, then the top layer in each map service will be included in the results.
- The All Visible Layers option will include the identify results
from all layers that are visible in the map display. Use the Map Contents control to set
the visibility of individual map layers.
- The All Layers option returns the results from all layers in each
map service at the selected location.
