Locate

The Locate tool allows map navigation to a specific street address or street intersection. This function is also referred  to as geocoding. When a location is found, the map display will zoom to the location and display a label point on the map.  

To locate an address on a map:

In the Console, display the Locate item, if necessary, by clicking the down arrow for Contents .

• Select the geocoding service to use from the drop down list. If the selected geocoding service requires a zone, such as a zip code or city, an additional input box will appear on the form.
• Enter the address or entersection in the text box.
• Use the '@' between street names to denote an intersection.
• Press the Find button
• If a single result is found, the map will zoom to the location and add a label.

• If multiple results are found, the matched address will appear in a list below.

• Click the "+" symbol to open the result details or right-click the address to open the context menu.
• Click the "Label and Zoom to Location" to desplay the result on the map.
