Query Tools
Attribute Query
The Attribute Query Tool allows map features to be selected based on values in
the attribute table. The selection results will be highlighted on the map and
a table containing the records returned will be displayed in a floating panel.
To perform an attribute query:
In the Console,
display the Attribute
Query item, if necessary, by
clicking the down arrow for Contents
.

- Select the layer to be queried from the drop down list. Once a layer is selected, the list of available
column names will update below.
- Double click the column name to include in the query. The column name will
be added to the SQL text box.
- Select the query appropriate operator from query buttons. The query
operator will be added to the SQL text box.
- Use the Get Unique Values button
to display the distinct values for the selected column.
Double click the value to add it to the SQL text box.
- Use the Clear SQL button to clear the contents of the SQL text
box.
- Press the Execute button to run the query. The selected features will be highlighted on the map
and the selected feature attributes will be displayed in a floating panel.
- Use the Export to Excel button on the results table to open the
results in an Excel spreadsheet.
- Click the Zoom button
to zoom the map display to the selected feature.
- Use the Clear Selection Tool
on the application toolbar to clear the selection from the map display and close
the selection results panel.
